How do the No-Spill™ oil drain plugs work?

No-Spill™ Systems’ draining design has stainless steel spring-loaded valve inside every quick oil drain plug. This oil drain valve remains closed until the No-Spill™ drainer is attached to the drain plug. Once the drainer seals itself, the valve opens, and the oil begins to drain through the hose in a clean and controlled way.

Do I need a drainer for every vehicle?

No. The drainers are designed to fit all of the plugs within a series (i.e. one of 1002 – Drainer Large Straight fits all large bottom plugs in the Standard series).  If you are unsure of which drainer you need, please call us at 1-888-4NO-SPILL (1-888-466-7745). The No-Spill™ System works in small and large engine sizes.

What series is correct for me?

The correct series depends on the application and style of draining. Standard plugs are common in locations where clearance is not an issue. Compact plugs are used where clearance is a concern. Speed Click™ plugs are very popular with all sizes of fleets.

Does any oil get left in the pan?

No. No-Spill™ oil drain plugs are designed to sit flush with the pan. Therefore, all of the waste fluids are drained quickly and easily, leaving no oil in the pan.

Can I drain the oil hot?

Absolutely. One of the main advantages of using No-Spill™ Systems is being able to drain oil hot.

Can I use a Suction System?

All three No-Spill™ designs can drain by gravity or suction. Simply connect your suction system to one of our drainers and non-return valves.

What if I can’t find a size?

No-Spill™ Systems maintains over 500 combinations of thread sizes and patterns in our warehouse and we can custom make any thread pitch or size. Please call us with your application, and we will find the size for you.

Is there a minimum order amount?

No, there is no minimum order amount. No-Spill™ customers and dealers can order as few or as many plugs as are required.

What are the Shipping Terms?

Product is shipped FOB Origin. UPS Ground is the most common shipping method.

How many of these drain plugs are in use?

Millions and millions of our drain plugs are in use daily.

What are the plugs made of?

Our quick oil drain plugs are machined from solid brass bar stock.

What is the warranty for the drain plugs?

No-Spill™ drain plugs are guaranteed for life for workmanship and materials.

Do I need to buy a dust cap with my drain plug?

No. All No-Spill™ Systems drain plugs come with a dust cap.

What if I lose my dust cap?

No problem. All No-Spill™ Systems drain plugs remain closed when not activated by the drainer.  The dust cap’s main purpose is to keep the plug clean. Replacement dust caps and dust caps with chains are available for a small fee.  Chains are another option to keep your dust clap from going missing.

Do you carry sizes for personal equipment or smaller vehicles?

Yes! We carry over 500 combinations of thread sizes that can fit anything from your personal vehicle, riding lawn mower, motorbike, motorhome, and boats.

What if my vehicle has a plastic (composite) pan?

We currently offer an alternative drain plug for all Ford vehicles made from high quality brass.

Do I have to be worried about the valve opening while I am on the road?

No. The No-Spill drain plug valve is designed to stay closed until one of our drainers is attached.

Solution for DIY maintenance

Is your local maintenance shop closed? Are messy oil changes costing you extra time and money to clean up? Well, we have the solution for you!

No-Spill® products eliminate the risk of costly maintenance errors, like cross-threaded drain plugs, stripped oil pans and spilled waste fluid clean up; saving you time and money.  To change oil with a No-Spill® drain plug, simply attach a No-Spill® drain tool to the outside of the plug (the plug stays put), this tool lifts an internal valve, and the waste fluid is then drained through a hose in a controlled and clean way.

No-Spill® Systems is the only aftermarket drain plug made in North America and designed specifically for the North American market.
